The Bharatiya Janata Party held press conferences at various locations across the state today under its “Mahila Janakrosh” campaign, where party leaders blamed opposition parties for the failure to pass the Nari Shakti Vandan Act. Union Minister Annapurna Devi, speaking in Deoghar, said that the Congress and the INDIA alliance are exposing their double standards by opposing the women’s reservation bill.

In Dhanbad, former Chief Minister Raghubar Das stated that parties engaged in dynastic and appeasement politics are against granting women their rights. In Hazaribagh, BJP state president Aditya Sahu termed Congress and other opposition parties as adversaries of women empowerment. At a press conference in Jamshedpur, MP Manish Jaiswal called it a betrayal of half the country’s population and announced that the party will organize a statewide protest march on April 25.
