Bihar Govt Approves Domicile Policy for Teacher Recruitment Phase 4

The Bihar state government has approved implementation of the domicile policy for the fourth phase of the Teacher Recruitment Exam (TRE-4) to be held this year. This decision was approved in a cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today. Under this policy, permanent residents of Bihar will be given priority in the teacher recruitment exam. Candidates who have passed their matriculation and intermediate exams from the Bihar Board will receive preference for these education department jobs.

The state cabinet also approved an increase in the honorarium for ASHA and Mamta workers.

ASHA workers will now get an incentive of 3000 rupees per month, Mamta workers deployed at referral hospitals will now get 600 incentives per institutional delivery.

Additionally, the honorarium for physical education and health instructors in the education department has been increased to 16,000 rupees per month. The cabinet approved raising the honorarium for over 2.18 lakh cooks under the Mid-Day Meal Scheme to 3,300 per month.

Night guards working in primary and secondary schools will also receive an increased honorarium of 10,000 rupees as approved by the cabinet. Under another proposal, the salaries of part-time sanitation workers under the Lohiya Swachhata Mission and Swachh Bharat Mission in rural areas have been approved 5,000 rupees per month and supervisors will get salaries at 9,000 rupees .

For the upcoming assembly elections, live webcasting will be conducted at all 90,000 polling stations, in this regard the Cabinet gave approval to install two CCTV cameras at each polling station.

The cabinet also approved the Chief Minister Digital Library Scheme which will facilitate the establishment of digital libraries in all 243 Assembly constituencies.
