In Bihar, the state cabinet has approved the proposal to increase the honorarium of Anganwadi Sevikas and Sahayikas working at Anganwadi centres under the Integrated Child Development Scheme.
According to the cabinet’s decision, Anganwadi Sevikas will now receive an honorarium of 9,000 rupees per month, which was earlier 7,000. Similarly, the honorarium of Anganwadi Sahayikas has been increased from 4,000 to 4,500 rupees.
The enhanced honorarium for Anganwadi Sevikas and Sahayikas will be applicable from the 1st of next month.
This proposal was approved in today’s cabinet meeting, chaired by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. For this purpose, an additional annual expenditure of more than 345.19 crore has been sanctioned.
