Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) has detained seven Bangladeshi nationals, including four women and three men, as they attempted to cross into India illegally through the Maheshpur border in Jhenaidah district.
In a statement issued by the Maheshpur 58 BGB Battalion, officials said the interception took place today at around 5:30 p.m. during a routine patrol in the border area.
Following the detention, the four women were transferred to the Justice and Care Center in Jessore for further assistance and processing, while the three men were handed over to Maheshpur police station for legal action.
