Andhra Pradesh government to launch Divyang Shakti Scheme tomorrow

The Andhra Pradesh government will launch the Divyang Shakti Scheme tomorrow, offering free bus travel to persons with disabilities across the State as part of its Ugadi initiatives. Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu will inaugurate the scheme in Amaravati.
 
The scheme aims to improve mobility and access to public transport for persons with disabilities, covering over 12.76 lakh beneficiaries, including attendants. Eligible individuals with more than a 40% disability will be allowed to travel free of cost in APSRTC buses, while attendants will receive a 50 per cent fare concession.
 
The government will provide an annual financial support of 207 crore rupees to the Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation for implementation.
