The Ministry of Civil Aviation said that the black box of the Learjet 45 aircraft, which crashed near Baramati yesterday and killed Maharashtra deputy chief minister Ajit Pawar along with four persons, has been recovered and the investigation is progressing expeditiously. In a post on X on Thursday, the ministry said that ensuring a thorough, transparent, and time-bound inquiry remains a top priority. Following the accident, all required response and investigative mechanisms were activated immediately. A team of three officers from the Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB), Delhi, and another team of three officers from the DGCA Mumbai Regional Office reached the crash site yesterday. The Director General of AAIB also visited the site on the same day.
