Air India announces it will operate two flights every day between Delhi & Halwara in Ludhiana

Bringing Ludhiana in Punjab on the commercial flight map, Air India today announced that it will operate two flights every day between Delhi and Halwara in Ludhiana from May 15 onwards and connect travellers from the industrial heartland of Punjab-Ludhiana to Delhi and beyond to destinations around the world.

The airline, which is becoming the first airline to launch flights from the newly constructed Halwara airport in Ludhiana, has scheduled the flights to offer same-day connectivity via Delhi to destinations across the United Kingdom and the rest of Europe, including Rome, Milan, and Paris.

Nipun Aggarwal, Chief Commercial Officer, Air India, said that those travellers going abroad would get flights through the same terminal from Delhi on a single ticket. They do not have to shift their baggage to the other plane and will receive the same at their final destination abroad.
