Centre launches Naksha Pilot Program to revolutionize land records, support farmers: Agriculture Minister

Union Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan said that the Center is working in the interest of every section, due to which there has been a big change in the lives of citizens. Mr Chauhan was addressing the gathering at the launch of a pilot program called the National Geospatial Knowledge-based Land Survey-Naksha in Raisen, Madhya Pradesh, today. He said that the government has decided that a farmer who wants to sell his produce elsewhere will have the cost of his transportation bear by the government.

 

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that land records will be corrected in the Naksha pilot program. He emphasized that no stone will be left unturned in development. During the event, the Watershed Yatra was also flagged off. The Naksha program aims to provide citizens with simple and secure access to their land records through modern technology and digital means. This initiative will reduce land disputes and increase citizens’ confidence. Union Minister of State for Rural Development and Communications Dr Chandrashekhar Pemmasani and ministers from the MP state government were also present at the event.
