At least five people died and eight were missing after torrential rains hit the city of Baoji, northwest Shaanxi Province, China. The local authorities said on Friday that heavy downpours lashed Baoji with its main urban areas experiencing a record-high daily precipitation since meteorological records began. The heavy rainfall has caused mountain torrents and damaged roads. Local media reported that more than 7,800 people have been relocated.
