2nd WHO Traditional Medicine Global Summit Scheduled in New Delhi, December 17–19

The 2nd WHO Traditional Medicine Global Summit will be organised between the 17th to the 19th of next month at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi. The summit, co-hosted by the World Health Organisation (WHO) and the Ministry of AYUSH, will be based on the theme- ‘Restoring Balance: The Science and Practice of Health and Well-being.’
Addressing the curtain raiser event in New Delhi today, AYUSH Minister Prataprao Jadhav highlighted that the summit will advance the objectives of the WHO Global Traditional Medicine Strategy 2025-2034.

 

He added that it will also promote dialogue, evidence, and action to strengthen the role of Traditional, Complementary, and Integrative Medicine in achieving universal health coverage and the Sustainable Development Goals. The summit aims to deepen scientific and policy engagement on integrating evidence-based traditional medicine into health systems. It will focus on balance within self, society, and the environment through a convergence of science, innovation, indigenous wisdom, and digital health. Approximately 7,000 participants will attend the summit in hybrid mode from across the world.
