In Nagaland, anticipation is building as the state gears up for its grand annual celebration of culture, colour and community. The 26th edition of the Hornbill Festival, the renowned “Festival of Festivals” begins tomorrow, at the Naga Heritage Village in Kisama, Kohima.
Coinciding with Nagaland’s Statehood Day, the ten-day extravaganza will once again bring together all major Naga tribes under one roof, showcasing the state’s living traditions through folklore, music, crafts and cuisine.
What started as a tourism initiative has, over more than two decades, transformed into one of the world’s most iconic cultural festivals. The Hornbill Festival today stands as a global platform that draws visitors, collaborators and performers from across India and abroad.
