The 12th World Para Athletics Championship 2025 will begin tomorrow in New Delhi at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium. The nine-day championship will feature a total of 186 medal events. These include 101 for men, 84 for women, and one mixed event, covering sprint finishes to endurance races.
The Championship will bring more than a thousand athletes from over 100 nations. It is not only India’s debut as a host but also one of the largest para-sport gatherings ever held. The championship will also showcase a mix of track and field events in both morning and evening sessions. It will also see participation from athletes including Sumit Antil, Navdeep Singh, Preeti Pal, Praveen Kumar and Dharambir.
