The 109th birthday of Bharat Ratna and founder of AIADMK Dr. MG Ramachandran is celebrated across Tamil Nadu today. On the occasion of MGR’s birthday, the AIADMK General Secretary and Opposition leader E Palanichamy has announced a slew of measures released in the election manifesto for the ensuing Assembly election. Calling it part one of the election manifesto, he has given five assurances, including providing two-wheelers to five lakh women at a cost of 25 thousand rupees, increasing the 100-day work to 150 days and free bus service for both men and women.
